GMA, Cavite - General Mariano Alvarez Water District (GMAWD) has recently formally inked an agreement with the Bureau of Fire Protection's (BFP) GMA Fire Station, solidifying the partnership between the two organizations commitment to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of utilizing fire hydrants in the area.

This collaboration will ensure a faster response time during fire emergencies and enhance the overall safety of the community. It will also help to reduce the risk of fire-related injuries and property damage.

GMA Mayor Maricel Echevarria Torres said in a statement on Facebook that through this Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), the city government and the fire department will work together to provide better protection for the community.

Through this MOA, the BFP, GMAWD, and the town government of GMA will have an agreement regarding the proper use, maintenance, and regulation of fire hydrants in accordance with the law.

The lady mayor also said this is a big step towards improving emergency response and ensuring the efficient utilization of resources during fire incidents.

Collaborating with the fire department, the city government aims to strengthen its disaster preparedness and response capabilities, ultimately leading to a safer and more secure community for its residents.

She also said people can hope that the local government will not stop serving the community and will continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of its residents.

Torres also emphasized the importance of public awareness and education regarding fire safety measures, encouraging individuals to take proactive steps in preventing fires and being prepared for emergencies.
