Governor Mandanas, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Batangas Local Health Board, has also announced the importance of continuing to focus on promoting the full and thorough implementation of the UHC Law in every local government throughout the country.
According to him, this will push for the existence of a people-centered health care system that can provide Filipinos with wider access to quality and affordable health services, regardless of their socio-economic status.
He emphasized the need for local governments to prioritize the allocation of resources towards healthcare infrastructure and the training of healthcare professionals to ensure the successful implementation of the UHC Law.
The governor has also had the opportunity to meet PCL National Chair, Atty. Raul Corro, PCL National President Handy Lao, and Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, as well as legislators from different regions in the country, to discuss the importance of UHC and garner support for its implementation.
Mandanas has been actively engaging with community leaders and stakeholders to raise awareness about the benefits of UHC and gather feedback on how to improve healthcare services at the local level.
