IMUS CITY, Cavite - The Imus City Council has approved an ordinance that would convert the city’s molecular laboratory into the City of Imus Diagnostic Laboratory.
During its 42nd session regular meeting on Oct. 16, 2023, City Council members unanimously voted in favor of the ordinance, recognizing the importance of having a dedicated diagnostic laboratory in Imus City.
With the finalization of the said ordinance, the City of Imus Molecular Laboratory will be recognized as the "City of Imus Diagnostic Laboratory," where the laboratory services that the Imuseños can benefit from have been extended.
This move aims to enhance the city's healthcare capabilities by providing accessible and reliable diagnostic services to its residents and neighboring towns, ultimately improving the overall health and well-being of the community.
The establishment of a dedicated diagnostic laboratory will help reduce the burden on existing healthcare facilities and ensure timely and accurate diagnoses for patients in need.
Meanwhile, some resolutions have also been approved; one of them is the implementation of the Rules and Regulations of the Comprehensive Tricycle Franchise of 2018, which aims to regulate and streamline the operation of tricycles in the community.
This resolution will not only improve road safety but also create a fair and organized system for tricycle operators and commuters.
