BATANGAS CITY - The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) recently conducted here a youth leadership seminar titled "Project KA BRAD: Ang Batangueñong Kabataan Dalangin ng mga Batang Responsable at Disiplinado: Ang Paunang Hakbang ng Sangguniang Kabataan sa Matinong Pamumuno" .
The seminar for Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson candidates in the city aims to prepare these young people who aspire to lead in serving and providing proper service to their communities.
According to LYDO Officer Nel Magbanua, what is called servant leadership is considered the heart of service. "A youth who wants to lead his fellow youth must have humility and love for the people," he said.
This seminar also features the provision of information on issues related to Anti-Drug Abuse and Anti-Terrorism.
PEMS Rogelio Magsino from the Batangas City Police Station led the discussion of the aforementioned topics. He emphasized the importance of being knowledgeable about these issues in order to effectively address them within their communities. PEMS Magsino also highlighted the role of youth leaders in spreading awareness and promoting a safe and drug-free environment.
Assistant City Comelec Officer Lizette Gualberto discussed the guidelines or rules that will be implemented in relation to BSKE 2023. She explained the importance of following these guidelines to ensure a fair and transparent election process. Gualberto also encouraged the participants to actively engage in voter education campaigns to empower the community and promote a culture of responsible voting.
The current SK Federation President Marjorie Manalo also shared experiences during her tenure.
