TAYABAS CITY, Quezon - In order to better serve their residents, the local government fully recognizes the critical role of information and communication technology (ICT) in improving the delivery of public services and management efficiency.

With the launch of the Tayabazen Digital Platform, Tayabas City Mayor Lovely Reynoso-Pontioso is taking action to bring the city's services closer to its residents through a user-friendly and accessible online platform.



Mayor Pontioso is determined, with the support of Vice Mayor Oro Dalida and the city council, to use modern technologies, which will especially improve the quality of local government for the residents of Tayabas.

Leveraging ICT, they hope to streamline administrative processes, facilitate access to public services, and ensure efficient communication between the government and its constituents.



According to the local government of Tayabas City, this digital initiative also seeks to improve efficiency and provide a more convenient experience for citizens.

Furthermore, the implementation of ICT in local government can lead to cost savings by reducing the need for physical infrastructure and manpower. 

This initiative also has the potential to attract investments and boost economic growth in Tayabas by creating a business-friendly environment.

Tayabazen, short for Tayabas Citizen, is a new mobile application launched by the Tayabas City local government on Thursday, October 4, 2023, that is said to provide residents with an end-to-end digital solution that will improve their overall experience with local government services, speed up the processes and transactions of various offices, and improve service delivery to residents.

It will also enable residents to conveniently access government services, submit requests, and receive updates in real-time, ensuring more efficient and transparent communication between the local government and its citizens.

Residents of Tayabas can use this mobile app to access services and transact with various government offices using their mobile devices, such as applying for permits, paying taxes, and accessing important information about government programs and initiatives.

Each head of household will provide or issue a Tayabazen Smart Card for all residents of the city of Tayabas, which will serve as their identification and access card for the mobile app that will allow them to securely access the app and use the services.

The app will also send notifications and updates on the status of their transactions, delivering a smooth and efficient experience for Tayabas residents.

There will also be Tayabasin Kiosk stations set up throughout the city that residents without mobile apps can easily use to avail services.

These kiosks will provide a convenient alternative for those who do not have access to smartphones or prefer not to use the mobile app. 

With the help of these kiosks, all residents of Tayabas will have equal access to the services and benefits provided by the smart card system.

The Tayabazen Web Admin Application will also be available for city officials and administrators to manage and monitor the smart card system. 

The web admin application will have advanced security features to protect sensitive information and maintain the privacy of Tayabas residents.

The newly designed city website is also part of the Tayabasin Digital Platform, making it easier for citizens to learn about the smart card system and other local services.

The website was developed with a modern, easy-to-use interface, making it user-friendly for all residents, regardless of technological proficiency, and was optimized for mobile devices, ensuring residents can access the platform on the go.

The Tayabasin Digital Platform is just one of many digitalization initiatives spearheaded by the city's mayor to improve efficiency and convenience for its residents by providing a centralized platform for accessing information and services.

The city aims to be a smart city that embraces technology and innovation in order to enhance the overall quality of life for its residents.

In addition, the local government of Tayabas is also working on providing services for its residents' health and other essential needs through various programs and initiatives.

These programs include initiatives to improve healthcare accessibility, such as the establishment of community health centers and the implementation of telemedicine services.

Furthermore, the local government is also focused on addressing the basic needs of its residents by implementing programs that provide affordable housing options and access to clean water and sanitation facilities.

Indeed, the residents are very thankful for their mayor, who is always in action and actively seeking ways to improve the quality of life in Tayabas City.
