MORONG, Rizal - To ensure that every child in the community has a legal identity, the Morong Local Civil Registrar has once again implemented their free mobile birth registration services.
The Morong Local Civil Registrar at Sitio Caniogan in Barangay CCL on October 19, 2023 has provided the said services with the aim of reaching remote areas and providing convenient access to birth registration for families who may not have the means to travel to the registrar's office.
This is bringing their services directly to the community; the Morong Local Civil Registrar is making it easier for parents to secure legal documents for their children, ensuring their rights and access to essential services.
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)—Rizal partnered with the Morong Local Civil Registrar to address the challenges faced by families who may not have the resources or means to travel long distances to register their children's births.
Many of the citizens they served were enrolled in the PSA program under the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project for free documents that would be needed for late registration of their children's births.
This project helped ensure that all citizens had access to the necessary documents for their children's birth registration, regardless of their financial situation or geographical location.
At the same time, PhilSys registration was also conducted for those who wanted to obtain a national identification card, providing them with a valid and recognized form of identification.
