LUCENA CITY - The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing was held this Monday, October 9, 2023, between the Quezon Provincial Health Network, Quezon Medical Center (QMC), and Certification Partner Global (CPG) for the desired ISO 9001 certification of the said hospital.

The signing of the MOA signifies the commitment of both parties to work together towards achieving and maintaining the ISO 9001 certification standards for Quezon Medical Center.

Quezon Governor Dr. Helen Tan, who led the signing ceremony, expressed her confidence in the partnership between QMC and CPG and highlighted the importance of the ISO 9001 certification in ensuring quality healthcare services for the people of Quezon province.

She emphasized the importance of obtaining the ISO 9001 certification, as it would further enhance the quality of healthcare services provided by the hospital.

She wishes QMC would continue to provide high-quality health care. As a result, the signing of the MOA seeks to begin preparations for more comprehensive management and to continue providing services that meet the health needs of the people in the province.

According to the management of the hospital, they want to carry out all the steps and processes within the QMC through the Quality Management System, which can provide a better flow of information and ensure efficient delivery of services.

This system will also enable the hospital to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of their services, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community. Implementing a quality management system, QMC aims to enhance patient satisfaction and establish itself as a trusted healthcare provider in the province.

Also present at the said MOA signing were CPG Managing Director Ma. Melanie Olbita, CPG Finance Officer Marianne Sarceno, QMC Chief of Hospital Dr. Juan Eugenio Fidel Villanueva, IPHO Head Dr. Cristine Villaseñor, QMC Head Legal Officer Atty. Generson Paul Mercado, as well as other department heads and medical personnel.

It is expected that the hospitals will be ISO certified this year and become internationally recognized when it comes to the management and delivery of health services and will also pave the way for further collaborations and knowledge sharing between CPG and QMC, ultimately benefiting the patients and the healthcare industry as a whole.

The MOA signing signifies a collaborative effort between CPG and QMC to improve the quality of healthcare services in the region. This partnership aims to enhance the overall patient experience and ensure that the hospitals meet international standards of excellence.
