TANAUAN CITY, Batangas - The local governments of Tanauan and Valenzuela have strengthened their collaboration through a partnership that aims to promote cultural exchange, economic development, and mutual understanding between the two cities.
The two cities formally signed a sisterhood agreement recently in Tanauan, Batangas, with Tanauan Mayor Sonny Collantes and Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian leading the ceremony.
Under this agreement, the two cities will work together regarding strengthening various sectors such as education, boosting the economy, technology and innovation, commerce, urban development, tourism promotion, and calamity response preparedness.
The sisterhood agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise in areas such as arts, culture, and sports, fostering a deeper appreciation and collaboration between the residents of the two cities.

Gatchalian also visited Tanauan, and the city officials brought him to the Museo ng Tanauan and the Apolinario Mabini Shrine to showcase the rich history and culture of the city of Tanauan.
