MULANAY, Quezon - The newly-elected village chiefs and Sangguniang Kabataan officials in Mulanay, Quezon, took the oath before Mulanay Mayor Aristotle Aguirre on November 6, 2023.

The ceremony marked the beginning of their official duties and responsibilities in serving their respective communities. It also symbolized their commitment to upholding good governance and promoting the welfare of the people they represent.

21 village chiefs and 36 SK officials were sworn in during the ceremony, representing various barangays in Mulanay. The event was attended by local government officials, community leaders, and residents who showed their support for the newly-elected officials.

According to the mayor, the early turnout of the newly-elected officials is a positive sign for the community, as it reflects their eagerness to start working and address the needs of their constituents. The mayor also emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity among the officials in order to achieve progress and development in Mulanay.

The mayor highlighted the Supreme Court's ruling that the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections were unconstitutional, implying that all previous barangay officials served in a hold-over capacity.

Aguirre hopes that this fresh start will lead to more efficient and effective governance in Mulanay. He also expressed his optimism that the newly elected officials will prioritize the welfare of the community and work towards achieving the town's goals and aspirations.
