Aside from the vegetable seedlings distributed to the residents to start their backyard garden, schoolchildren also learned from the health teaching and benefited from a feeding activity.
Select beneficiaries also availed themselves of 30 fruit-bearing tree seedlings under the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA)-Quezon which were planted in the barangay’s tree planting site during the activity.
Meanwhile, lectures on Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as 'Anti-Violence Against Women and Children' and the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government were also shared by BJMP personnel with the residents of the said barangay.
The village residents have expressed their deep gratitude to the BJMP and other government and non-government organizations for choosing their barangay as the recipient of various services through the Community Outreach Program.
The outreach activity's success was a clear manifestation and display of the BJMP’s mission toward affording the community with peace and development through a synergized and collaborative partnership between jail officers and the general public. | via Serbisyong Ugnayan sa Pamayanan
