CARMONA, Cavite - The initiative, which aimed to provide free microchipping services for pets in Carmona, has been widely hailed as a success.

The City Agriculture Office, in collaboration with Sangguniang Barangay of Bancal, hosted a rollout of free microchipping dubbes as "Libreng Pet Microchipping" recently for the pets of Monte Carlo Townhomes in Barangay Bancal.

The event saw a large turnout, with pet owners expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to have their pets microchipped at no cost. The initiative not only helps in ensuring the safety and identification of pets but also promotes responsible pet ownership within the community.

The program not only helped ensure the safety and well-being of countless pets but also contributed to reducing the number of stray animals in the community.

Pet owners are more likely to keep their pets properly identified and cared for if free microchipping services are provided, lowering the chances of them becoming stray animals. This initiative also encourages other community members to take responsibility for their pets and contribute to creating a safer and more harmonious neighborhood.

Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola expressed her gratitude for microchipping pets during a recent community event. She emphasized the importance of microchipping in ensuring the safety and well-being of pets, as it helps reunite lost animals with their owners.

She thanked the veterinarians who provided their time to install the microchips on pets and acknowledged the efforts of local animal shelters in promoting the initiative. Mayor Loyola also encouraged all pet owners to take advantage of this service, highlighting that microchipping is a simple and effective way to protect their furry companions.

Microchips help owners and officials keep track of pets, as they contain unique identification numbers that can be scanned and linked to the owner's contact information. This allows for quick and easy identification of lost or stolen pets, increasing the chances of a successful reunion.
