GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite - The dark roads beginning from the GMA Central Terminal to San Marcelino Street finally see some light as the General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) government recently installed streetlights along the entire stretch.

GMA Mayor Maricel Torres expressed their full support for the project and promised to work closely with the barangay officials to ensure its successful implementation.

Torres is hoping to keep crime incidents down in her municipality with the installation of solar street lights along Luzon Avenue.

In a Facebook post, Torres said she was aware of the dangers posed by the dark road and recognized the need for improved lighting to enhance safety for both motorists and pedestrians.

She emphasized that the installation of solar street lights will not only deter criminal activities but also provide a sustainable and cost-effective solution for long-term public safety.

Solar-powered street lights were installed along Luzon Avenue to address the issue of inadequate lighting and improve safety for both motorists and pedestrians.

The Peace and Order and Public Safety Committees were also involved in the decision-making process to ensure that the installation of solar street lights aligned with the overall goal of creating a safer community.

According to the Philippine National Police, the installation of solar-powered street lights along Luzon Avenue has significantly contributed to the reduction of crime rates in the area.

The bright and consistent lighting provided by these solar street lights has deterred potential criminals and increased visibility for law enforcement officers, making it easier to monitor and respond to any suspicious activities.

The mayor called on residents to do their part in maintaining the safety of the community by reporting any suspicious activities or individuals to the local authorities.

She emphasized the importance of community engagement and encouraged residents to actively participate in neighborhood watch programs and initiatives to further enhance the security measures in place.

She also vowed to do more programs for the community for progress and development. The mayor believes that the community can create a safer environment for everyone to live in and thrive in.
