TAYABAS CITY, Quezon - Tayabas Mayor Lovely Pontioso on Monday, October 30, 2023 called on the newly elected barangay officials and members of the youth council to work hand in hand in addressing the pressing issues and concerns of their respective communities.

“Umaasa ako sa patuloy na mabunga at epektibong ugnayan sa pagitan ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Tayabas at mga Punong Barangay; upang ang malaking bahaging nalalabi sa aking termino bilang Punong-Lungsod ay maging kapakipakinabang at aayon sa mga prayoridad na proyekto at programa ng mga bagong halal na pinuno ng barangay,” she said.



She emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity in achieving meaningful progress and development.

With this collaboration and unity, the mayor stressed that the remaining years of her term as city mayor will be productive and aligned with the priorities of the newly elected barangay leaders.

She expressed her hope for a fruitful and effective partnership between the City Government of Tayabas and the barangay captains to ensure that projects and programs are beneficial to their respective communities.

In addition, Mayor Pontioso encouraged them to actively engage with the residents, listen to their needs, and implement programs that would directly benefit the people.

Pontioso congratulated all the winners in the local elections in Tayabas City. She commended their hard work and dedication throughout the campaign period. Pontioso expressed her confidence in their ability to lead and serve the community effectively.

She also said she wants to strengthen the ranks of the youth council chairpersons and empower them to actively participate in decision-making processes.

Pontioso believes that the youth's fresh perspectives and innovative ideas are crucial in addressing the challenges faced by the community.
