CARMONA, Cavite - The city government here proudly announced recently that Carmona City was named a recipient of the Beyond Compliant Award for its outstanding efforts in disaster risk reduction and management and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents.

This prestigious recognition highlights Carmona City's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents during times of crisis. The city government's proactive approach and effective implementation of disaster preparedness measures have set a commendable example for other local government units to follow.



Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola said the city received the highest recognition at the 23rd Gawad KALASAG Seal and Special Awards for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Humanitarian Assistance, which is a testament to the city's dedication to creating a resilient and disaster-resilient community.

The award also serves as motivation for Carmona City to continue improving its disaster response strategies and further strengthen its partnerships with various stakeholders in the field of disaster risk reduction and management.

Carmona City's efforts to promote preparedness and response to disasters have been recognized by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the Department of National Defense.

In addition to providing confirmation for Carmona City's advancements in disaster risk reduction and management, inspire them to continuously enhance their strategies and partnerships for the benefit of their residents.

“Ito ang nagpapatunay na ating nahigitan pa ang mga standards ukol sa establishment at functionality ng mga LDRRMCOs alinsunod sa Sections 11 at 12 ng Republic Act 10121,” Loyola said.

Loyola also commended the City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office for their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the city's residents in times of emergencies and calamities. She emphasized the importance of continuously improving strategies and partnerships to further enhance disaster risk reduction and management efforts.
