ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal - The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has recently declared the Rizal province to be fully functional, with one city and six towns receiving a perfect functional rating based on the DILG's functionality assessment.
Of the 13 local government units (LGU) in Rizal, the cities of Antipolo City, as well as the towns of Angono, Binangonan, Morong, Pililla, Tanay, and Teresa, obtained a perfect score in the DILG's evaluation for the 2023 DILG Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children Functionality Assessment.
The assessment aims to ensure that the LGUs are effectively implementing measures and programs to address these pressing concerns. The perfect scores achieved by these LGUs reflect their commitment and dedication to creating a safe and secure environment for women and children in their respective communities.
The indicators considered are organization, meetings, policies, plans, budgets, and accomplishments. These indicators provide a comprehensive evaluation of the LGUs' efforts in combating trafficking and violence against women and children.
This recognition not only highlights their effective implementation of measures but also serves as an inspiration for other LGUs to prioritize the protection of women and children in their own communities.
