TANAUAN CITY, Batangas - Tanauan City recognizes the importance of catering to the needs of the Muslim community by ensuring that products and services meet Halal standards and conducting a consultations, Tanauan City demonstrates its commitment to inclusivity and its willingness to adapt to the diverse cultural and religious practices of its residents.
The goal of the center of discussion was to make Tanauan City Slaughterhouse a HALAL-Certified Slaughterhouse. Tanauan City aims to not only meet the needs of the Muslim community but also attract Halal-conscious consumers from other areas.
It can also ensure quality meats and strengthen the livestock industry in the city, as the Halal certification will require strict adherence to cleanliness and animal welfare standards.
This initiative could potentially open up new economic opportunities for local farmers and butchers, as they can tap into the growing demand for Halal products both locally and internationally.
In addition by promoting Halal practices, Tanauan City can foster a sense of unity and respect among its residents, regardless of their religious or cultural backgrounds.
Tanauan City Mayor Sonny Collantes said he is pleased sponsoring this initiative with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and other stakeholders and he hope by doing this , it will further strengthen the halal slautherhouse industry in the city, attracting more investments and creating more job opportunities for its residents.
Moreover, by conducting training and consultation they will be able to help Muslims in the community gain the necessary skills and knowledge to participate in the halal industry.
