TANAUAN CITY, Batangas - The local government unit of Tanauan recently conducted an inspection to assess the compliance of modern jeepneys with the city's transportation standards.
Tanauan Mayor Sonny Collantes through city administrator Wilfredo "Dodong" Ablao, and TCWCC President Atty. Cristine Collantes led the inspection of MetroWalk Calabarzon Transport Cooperative's Modern Jeepney.
According to the mayor, the unit underwent a thorough examination, including checking its safety features, cleanliness, and adherence to emission standards.
He also said the unit is scheduled to travel next year as additional public transportation to their residents.
Tanauan LGU continues to boost its transport efficiency for commuter convenience and aims to provide a reliable and comfortable mode of transportation for its residents.
The city government is actively exploring various options to improve the public transportation system, such as introducing more modern jeepneys and expanding the routes covered.
