TAYABAS CITY, Quezon - The local government unit here has implemented a financial assistance program to assist and empower first-time job seekers in their pursuit of employment opportunities.
Indigent residents of Tayabas who are first-time job seekers received financial assistance from the Tayabas Local Government Unit (LGU), led by Mayor Lovely Reynoso Pontioso, on December 28, 2023.
This initiative aims to support and empower individuals who are starting their careers by providing them with the necessary financial aid. The assistance can be used for various purposes, such as job application expenses, transportation costs, or even acquiring essential work-related materials.
Pontioso gave them each P2,000 as financial assistance to help them fulfill their application requirements and ease their financial burden. The LGU recognizes the challenges faced by first-time job seekers, especially during these uncertain times, and is committed to helping them succeed in their job search.
The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) offers financial aid as part of a program to help those who are in need of financial support while looking for work.
The program not only provides monetary aid but also offers guidance and resources to enhance their chances of securing a job.
According to Pontioso, the cash grant will assist job applicants in completing their requirements faster, increasing their chances of being hired and reporting for work as soon as possible.
