LIPA CITY, Batangas - Governor Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas marked a significant milestone for Batangas’ future this week, receiving the official green light for the province’s comprehensive Development and Physical Framework Plan. The plan, meticulously crafted to chart Batangas’ course for years to come, was formally approved by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) in a ceremony officiated by Undersecretary Henry Yap.

This roadmap to progress lays out Batangas’ long-term vision, delving into crucial aspects like infrastructure development. It meticulously details the province’s strategies, target goals, and the specific programs, projects, and activities needed to achieve them. These carefully woven components will serve as the bedrock for future provincial investment programs, budgeting allocations, and ultimately, the plan’s successful implementation.

Recognizing the critical challenges of our time, the framework plan doesn’t shy away from addressing critical areas like Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation. This forward-thinking approach ensures Batangas builds resilience and proactively navigates these complex issues.

Undersecretary Yap lauded the dedication and meticulous work evident in the plan, praising Batangas’ visionary leadership. He further encouraged the province’s continued collaboration by supporting the update of individual Comprehensive Land Use Plans within each municipality, ensuring perfect alignment with the overarching framework.

With this officially sanctioned blueprint now guiding the way, Batangas has embarked on a determined journey towards a future defined by sustainable growth, robust infrastructure, and a proactive approach to environmental concerns. Governor Mandanas and his team have laid a solid foundation, and the journey towards their ambitious vision has officially begun.
