DICT Region IV-A partners with Lucena City to drive digital transformation

LUCENA CITY, Philippines—In a significant step towards digital advancement, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region IV-A, led by Regional Director Amelia Dean, has recently partnered with Lucena City to implement a range of digital initiatives.

Lucena City Mayor Don Victor Mark Alcala, committed to technological progress, warmly welcomed Director Dean and her team, and according to him, Lucena City is excited to collaborate with DICT Region IV-A to drive digital transformation in the city. The partnership aims to improve public services, enhance connectivity, and promote innovation in Lucena City.



Key city officials, including Councilor Benito "Baste" Brizuela Jr., City Planning and Development Office Head Julieta Aparicio, and Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officer Engr. Sheena Estañero, along with DICT representatives, attended the strategic meeting.

DICT highlighted its diverse projects and programs designed to empower communities through digitalization. The presentation focused on digital literacy, connectivity infrastructure, and the revolutionary eGov App, which streamlines government services for greater efficiency and citizen access.

Director Dean expressed confidence in the DICT-Lucena City collaboration, stating, "This partnership will propel digital innovation for the city's benefit." Mayor Alcala underscored Lucena's dedication to technological advancement as a tool for inclusive development.
