INFANTA, Quezon—Rep. Mark Enverga of the Quezon 1st District Representative, has issued a renewed appeal to the local government of Infanta to finally open the newly constructed Land Transportation Office (LTO) Extension Office to the public.

The congressman's call to action comes after the office, inaugurated on July 4, 2023, remains closed despite its reported completion.

"The building is already there, fully functional, and the services are urgently needed," Enverga emphasized. "Leaving it unused disserves the Infanta community and undervalues the efforts of those who donated the land. Let's fulfill the intended purpose of this LTO office—that's my plea to the local government."

Enverga also addressed previous statements made by Mayor Grace America regarding the LTO Extension Office. He clarified that the office's existence was secured through legislation passed by his sister, Congw. Trina Enverga's term.

However, during construction, the initially offered space within the Infanta government complex became unavailable. Enverga, in collaboration with Quezon Governor Angelina "Helen" Tan, identified alternative land for the project.

"It's concerning that the initially offered space within the government complex was unavailable," Enverga stated. "This raises questions about the planning process and creates unnecessary delays. Governor Tan and I worked hard to find alternative land, but this process could have been avoided."

With the building now complete, Enverga stressed the importance of moving forward and fulfilling the purpose of the legislation: providing essential LTO services to the community.

He concluded by highlighting the long-held dream of having an LTO office in Infanta, which would benefit not only Infanta itself but also neighboring areas like Real, General Nakar, and the island municipalities of the POlillo Group of Islands (POGI) Area.

Meanwhile, on January 2, 2024, Rep. Enverga visited Barangay Dinahican, Infanta, to distribute financial aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.

Nearly 2,000 residents from Infanta and Real, Quezon, expressed their immense gratitude for the DSWD-AICS assistance distributed during the event.

The distribution was spearheaded by DSWD and DOLE personnel, with the attendance of 1st District Congressman Mark Enverga, Vice Governor Third Alcala, Speaker Julius Luces, Speaker Jerry Talaga, and local Infanta government officials.

An additional DOLE payout also took place on February 1st, 2024, in Barangays Miswa Infanta and Real.
