DOLORES, Quezon – Dolores took a significant step towards enhanced community health with the official launch of its Unlad Kalusugan program. The initiative focuses on expanding the quality, affordability, and accessibility of health services for residents.
"Unlad Kalusugan reflects our unwavering commitment to the health of every citizen in Dolores. By emphasizing prevention and early intervention, we're building a healthier future for our community," said Dolores Mayor Orlan Calayag during the program's launch.
Joining Mayor Calayag and Vice Mayor Renato "Doc Jon" Alilio Jr. were Rural Health Unit (RHU) head Dra. Ruby Ana Dimaano and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) head Cipriana Montierro.
"Unlad Kalusugan will provide vital free medical consultations, laboratory tests, and health education campaigns," explained Dra. Dimaano. "Our goal is improved overall health outcomes for Dolores residents by addressing existing issues and championing proactive care."
The program includes the U.N.L.A.D. Club (Unang Nais Laban sa Altapresyon and Diabetes), specifically targeting these prevalent concerns. The launch event, in partnership with IPHO and RHU staff, offered free laboratory exams and Visual Inspection using Acetic Acid (VIA).
"UNLAD Health is crucial to fulfilling my commitment to stronger health services for the people of Dolores," Mayor Calayag emphasized. "This event empowers our community to proactively manage their health, with prevention and early detection as cornerstones."
