PAGBILAO, Quezon – A collaborative effort on May 2, 2024, brought together the Provincial Government of Quezon and the Municipality of Pagbilao to solidify their partnership and enhance healthcare programs for residents.

Discussions centered on establishing concrete recommendations to ensure the successful implementation of the "Universal Health Plan" in Pagbilao, specifically through the established Konsulta Program.

The group emphasized the need for a swift response to the needs of the townspeople. This includes exploring the provision of additional health facilities, equipment, computers, and manpower to effectively deliver healthcare programs in Pagbilao.

Dr. Kristine Mae Jean Villasenor Mercado, head of the integrated provincial health office, commended the innovative healthcare initiatives undertaken by the local government led by Mayor Angelica "Gigi" Portes and the Municipal Health Office.

She also emphasized the importance of community participation in achieving the goals of the Universal Health Plan, encouraging residents to take an active role in promoting health and wellness within the municipality. Additionally, she highlighted the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation of healthcare services to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability.

According to Portes, the Deep Dive Activity signifies a significant step forward in strengthening the partnership between the provincial and municipal governments. By bringing together key stakeholders from various health agencies, the initiative fostered a collaborative environment to identify critical areas for improvement.

She also emphasizes that this collective approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of Pagbilao's specific healthcare needs, allowing for targeted solutions and efficient resource allocation.

She stressed that through this coordinated effort, the community can expect to see a more streamlined and effective healthcare system that prioritizes the well-being of all residents. Additionally, Portes highlighted the importance of sustained communication and cooperation among all parties involved to ensure the long-term success of these initiatives.
