LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Lito Giron, a long-standing and highly respected figure in the Philippine information management sector, recently announced his retirement after 20 years of dedicated service. Throughout his career, Giron has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of information management in the province of Quezon, leaving behind a legacy of innovation, professionalism, and excellence.

Giron's journey began in 1989 as a volunteer with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA). His unwavering commitment and exceptional skills quickly propelled him through the ranks, eventually assuming the role of PIA Quezon Information Communication Manager in 2002.

During his tenure, Giron spearheaded numerous groundbreaking initiatives that revolutionized information management practices in Quezon Province. One of his most notable achievements was the establishment of "Kapihan sa PIA" in 2016. This weekly forum provides a platform for open discussions on various issues and events, fostering transparency and community engagement between government officials, media practitioners, and the public.

Giron's impact extended beyond Quezon Province. He received the PIA Award in 2023 for his outstanding contributions to promoting transparency and accountability nationwide. He also received recognition from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) for his dedication to information dissemination and public engagement.

Giron played a pivotal role in establishing partnerships with local media outlets, community organizations, and national government agencies to amplify the reach and impact of his initiatives. His efforts will continue to benefit Quezon residents for years to come.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Giron is widely admired for his mentorship and leadership. He has inspired and nurtured countless aspiring information managers, instilling in them the values of integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

"It has been an immense privilege to serve the information management community in Quezon Province," said Giron. "I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made together, and I am confident that the future of information management in our country is bright. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all my colleagues, mentors, and friends for their unwavering support throughout my career."

Giron's retirement marks the end of an era, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide the information management profession in the Philippines. Quezon's media practitioners are grateful for Giron's leadership and dedication, and they look forward to carrying on the important work he has started. With a strong foundation in place, the information management community in Quezon Province is poised for continued growth and success.

His retirement will be on June 4th, but his impact will be felt for years to come as his contributions have laid the groundwork for future generations in the field. Giron's dedication and passion have left a lasting impression on those he has worked with, ensuring a bright future for information management in Quezon Province.
