ALABAT, Quezon – Alternergy Holdings Corporation broke ground today, May 9, 2024 on the Alabat Wind Power Project, a significant step towards expanded renewable energy in the Philippines. The project will see the construction of eight wind turbines, the tallest in the country, located on Alabat Island off the coast of Quezon province.
The project represents a collaborative effort between Alternergy, the Quezon Provincial Government, and national agencies. A crucial interconnection agreement (ICA) between Alternergy Holdings Corporation and the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) guarantees seamless transmission of the generated power into the national grid.
