CANDELARIA, Quezon – A sea of proud faces and cheers filled the Municipal Hall grounds of Candelaria, Quezon, as they welcomed home their very own Ma. Ahtisa Manalo on June 21, 2024.

Manalo, who recently earned the titles of 2nd Runner-Up at Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024, returned to her hometown to celebrate her achievements and express her gratitude to the community that supported her throughout her journey.

The homecoming celebration was a vibrant display of local pride and affection for Manalo. The streets were adorned with banners and posters bearing her image, and residents lined the roads, waving flags and cheering as her motorcade passed by.

She was serenaded and given recognition in the resolution from the Candelaria Council for bringing honor to their town on the international stage. Manalo's success has not only brought joy to her community but has also inspired aspiring beauty queens in Candelaria to pursue their dreams with determination and passion.

Manalo expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support, particularly to Mayora Maxima Suayan, the accredited partner of Miss Universe Philippines in Quezon Province, who, according to her, is the one who pushed her to join Miss Universe Philippines and achieve her dreams.

"This is truly overwhelming," Manalo said, her voice filled with emotion. "I'm so grateful for the love and support of my hometown. Candelaria will always hold a special place in my heart. I will always be proud Quezonian ." She continued, "I hope to continue representing my town and country with grace and dignity in all my future endeavors."

Manalo's success is a source of inspiration for many in the community, especially young women who aspire to follow in her footsteps. Her homecoming serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance, hard work, and staying true to oneself.

A Queen with a Heart for Her People

Manalo, known for her beauty, intelligence, and entrepreneurial spirit, has always been a role model in her community. Beyond her pageant accomplishments, she is also a successful businesswoman and philanthropist, actively involved in projects that support local businesses and empower women.

"Ahtisa is more than just a beauty queen," said Candelaria Mayor George "Ogie" Suayan. "She is a shining example of what a Candelaria native can achieve with determination and a heart for service. We congratulate Ahtisa on her remarkable achievements and extend our heartfelt gratitude to Quezon Governor Angelina "Doktora Helen" Tan and everyone who has supported her journey. We wish her all the best as she prepares to represent our beloved Philippines in the Miss Cosmo World pageant. Candelaria is behind you all the way, Ahtisa!"

Doc. Keith Mikhal Tan, speaking on behalf of the Governor, added, "The entire province of Quezon is immensely proud of Ahtisa's accomplishments. She is a true embodiment of the Quezonian spirit – resilient, compassionate, and always striving for excellence. We have no doubt that she will continue to shine on the international stage and bring honor to our country."

During the homecoming celebration, Manalo took the time to interact with her fans, pose for photos, and share her experiences from the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. She also expressed her commitment to continue using her platform to uplift her community and represent the Philippines with pride on the international stage.

As Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024, Manalo is set to represent the country in the upcoming Miss Cosmo International pageant on October 5, 2024. Her homecoming serves as a launching pad for her next endeavor, and her supporters are confident that she will continue to make them proud.

Manalo's journey is a testament to the power of dreams and the unwavering support of a community. Her homecoming is a celebration of not only her achievements but also the spirit of Candelaria, a town that nurtures its own and rejoices in their success.
