LUCENA CITY, Quezon – In line with the celebration of Environment Month, the Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) conducted its annual Emission Testing Activity for provincial government vehicles on June 5-6 at the Capitol Compound.
The activity aimed to ensure that government-owned vehicles are in good condition, comply with emission standards, and minimize air pollution caused by vehicle emissions.
PG-ENRO emphasized the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and compliance with environmental regulations to reduce the negative impact of transportation on air quality.
In addition to the emission testing, PG-ENRO is also organizing an electronic waste (e-waste) collection drive on June 7th. Provincial government employees are encouraged to participate by bringing their old or unused electronic devices to designated collection points.
This initiative aims to promote responsible e-waste disposal and prevent harmful substances from these devices from polluting the environment.
PG-ENRO's efforts highlight the provincial government's commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. By prioritizing clean air and proper waste management, the province takes a significant step towards a greener and healthier future.
