LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 4A and the Quezon Police Provincial Office (PNP) have solidified their partnership to enhance road safety measures in Lucena City and the wider Quezon Province. This renewed commitment was underscored during a recent meeting where both organizations discussed upcoming initiatives and collaborative efforts.

A significant development arising from the meeting is the planned rollout of the E-Patrol system and a free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) Caravan. The E-Patrol system, designed to streamline traffic enforcement and improve response times, will be implemented with the support of the Quezon PNP. Additionally, the TDC Caravan aims to educate drivers on road safety and responsible driving practices, contributing to a safer driving environment in the province.

The meeting also saw discussions on various collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing road safety measures, including stricter enforcement of traffic laws, increased public awareness campaigns, and joint initiatives to address specific road safety concerns.

"Our partnership with the Quezon PNP is crucial in our mission to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians on our roads," said LTO Lucena District Office Chief Franz Salamat . "By combining our resources and expertise, we can achieve greater impact in our efforts to promote responsible driving and reduce traffic-related incidents."

He also said that through this collaboration, they can work together to implement innovative solutions and programs that will ultimately save lives and create a safer road environment for everyone.

Provincial Director, PCol. Ledon Monte of the Quezon PNP echoed this sentiment, stating, "We are committed to working hand-in-hand with the LTO to create a safer and more orderly traffic environment in Quezon Province. The E-Patrol system and TDC Caravan are just the first steps in our joint efforts to achieve this goal."

He emphasized that the E-Patrol system and TDC Caravan will enhance the capabilities of law enforcement in monitoring and enforcing traffic regulations, ultimately leading to a significant reduction in road accidents. PCol. Monte expressed optimism that, with continued collaboration and implementation of such initiatives, road safety in Quezon Province will continue to improve.

The LTO and Quezon PNP are confident that their strengthened partnership will lead to significant improvements in road safety in the region. They encourage all motorists and pedestrians to do their part by adhering to traffic rules and regulations and practicing responsible driving.
