Lucena City PPA celebrates anniversary with week-long innovation fest highlighting tech-driven client support

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - The Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) Office in Lucena City concluded a week-long celebration centered on innovation, marking their 48th anniversary and the 30th National Probation and Parole Week.

Titled "Embracing the Digital Age: Innovation and Transformation of Governance Supervision Interventions," the event showcased the PPA's commitment to leveraging technology for enhanced client support services. This focus particularly addressed the needs of clients residing in remote areas.



Throughout the week, a range of engaging activities aimed to foster client well-being and successful reintegration. These included wellness programs promoting physical and mental health through yoga sessions, stress management workshops, and consultations with healthcare professionals.

Informative seminars led by experts tackled crucial topics for successful reintegration, such as financial literacy, anger management, and vocational skills development. Interactive media presentations kept attendees informed about available Post-Release Assistance (PPA) services and the importance of adhering to parole and probation guidelines. Finally, empowering gender development sessions focused on gender equality, communication skills, and building healthy relationships aimed to further empower clients.

It consists of 66 individuals engaged in face-to-face interactions, and 72 virtually connected attendees benefited from this activity. Overall, the program successfully equipped participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate their reintegration process effectively. The combination of informative presentations and interactive sessions created a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals in their transition back into society.

Parole and Probation Administration Chief Teodoro Villaverde reaffirmed the PPA's unwavering dedication to client rehabilitation. "We are constantly exploring new technological advancements to bridge the gap and better serve our clients," he said. Villaverde emphasized their core mission of assisting individuals in reintegrating into society as law-abiding citizens.

This anniversary celebration highlights the Lucena City PPA's progressive approach towards client services. By embracing technology and innovation, they are demonstrably working towards a more efficient, inclusive, and client-centered support system.
