DOLORES, Quezon - To address key issues facing the community, such as economic development and sustainability, the Dolores Business Stakeholders Assembly 2024 recently convened at Lukong Valley Farm. The event, organized under the leadership of BPLO Sheena Borja and Mayor Orlan Calayag, aimed to strengthen the relationship between the local government, private sector, and business community.

Business owners from across the municipality actively participated in discussions aimed at fostering a more supportive environment for economic growth. Representatives from Quezon PEDIPO, QALEDIPO Inc., PCCI-QPI, DTI Negosyo Center, the Treasurer's Office, and the Sangguniang Bayan, including Vice Mayor Renato "Doc Jon" Alilio Jr., were also in attendance.

One of the main highlights of the assembly was a public hearing on the proposed Municipal Ordinance No. 67-24, which aims to establish the Local Incentives Code of Dolores. Presented by Cons. Nurse Joed Reyes, the ordinance outlines various incentives designed to attract investment and stimulate economic activity in the town.

The assembly also saw the formation of the PCCI-QPI Dolores Chapter, the second such chapter in Quezon Province. Newly elected officers, including President Edsel Rubico of EAC Corp. and Vice President Girlie Gravador of Viajes De los Dolores, will lead the chapter in advocating for local businesses and promoting collaboration within the community.

The 2024 Dolores Business Stakeholders Assembly represents a significant stride towards a more inclusive and prosperous future for the town. By bringing together key stakeholders and encouraging open communication, the event has set the stage for further collaboration and initiatives aimed at driving economic growth and development in Dolores.
