SAN ANDRES, Quezon - A groundbreaking ceremony held today marked the commencement of the Sitio Matikol Road concreting project, a significant development set to boost accessibility and connectivity for residents in the area. The project, funded by a 5 million peso allocation secured by former Senator and current Education Secretary Sonny Angara, aims to transform the transportation landscape of Sitio Matikol in nearby Barangay Pansoy.

The completion of the Sitio Matikol Road, anticipated within the next few months, will offer residents a smoother, safer, and more convenient travel experience. The upgraded road will also enhance access to essential services, including schools and healthcare facilities, contributing to improved quality of life in the community.

The groundbreaking ceremony witnessed the presence of local dignitaries, including San Andres Mayor Ralph Lim, Vice Mayor Nelson Ausa, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, along with representatives from Barangay Pansoy.

Mayor Lim expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its multi-faceted impact. "This road will not only facilitate easier travel for our residents but will also unlock economic growth and development in the area. Farmers will benefit from improved transportation of their goods, and children will have a safer route to school."

He also emphasized the importance of collaboration, adding, "We extend our deepest gratitude to Secretary Angara for his steadfast support and to the residents of Sitio Matikol for their patience and cooperation throughout the planning process. This project exemplifies the achievements possible when we work together for the betterment of our community."

The Sitio Matikol Road project is viewed as a crucial step towards enhancing the lives of residents and stimulating the local economy. It represents one of numerous infrastructure projects being implemented by the local government under Mayor Lim's commitment to investing in infrastructure for the benefit of all residents in San Andres and neighboring communities.
