MAUBAN, Quezon - Mauban's week-long celebration of its youth, "Linggo ng Kabataang Maubanin 2024", concluded with success. The event, held at the Mauban Municipality Conference Room, aimed to promote unity, talent recognition, and community involvement among the town's youth.

Highlights of the week included competitions such as the Debate Competition, Fun Run, and Obstacle Course, with winners receiving cash prizes. Local youth initiatives, including those by the Mauban Youth Counterpart, were also recognized and awarded subsidies of ₱2000.



The event, spearheaded by Local Youth Development Officer Jenzo Pastrana with support from Mayor Erwin Pastrana, underscored the local government's dedication to empowering and engaging its youth. The cash prizes and subsidies were funded through the local government's budget allocation for youth development programs.

Mayor Pastrana praised the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the youth throughout the week. "Maubanin Youth Week provides a platform for our young people to showcase their talents, develop their skills, and actively contribute to our community," he stated. "Their passion for learning and contributing to Mauban is truly inspiring. We believe that investing in our youth is crucial for the future of Mauban."

He further added, "We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by our youth during this week-long celebration. This initiative not only empowers the youth but also strengthens the sense of community in Mauban."

Jenzo Pastrana also shared his thoughts on the event's success, stating, "It's been incredibly rewarding to see our young people come together and shine. This week was all about celebrating their potential and giving them the tools they need to succeed. We're excited to continue supporting their growth and development in the years to come."
