DOLORES, Quezon - To bring government services directly to residents, the local government of Dolores, in partnership with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), held a successful LTO Caravan on November 18, 2024. Spearheaded by Mayor Orlan A. Calayag and Vice Mayor Renato "Doc Jon" Alilio Jr., the event saw strong participation with 889 Doloresins taking advantage of the convenient services.

Organized with the support of the Sangguniang Kabataan led by PPSK Pres. Kryzt Andrey Bacay, the caravan offered a range of services, including free Theoretical Driving Courses (TDC), student permit applications, and driver's license renewals.

"We are committed to making government services more accessible to our community," Mayor Calayag stated. "This caravan is not just about convenience, it's about empowering our residents to be responsible drivers." He added, "By bringing these services directly to them, we are removing barriers and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to obtain the necessary licenses and education to safely navigate our roads."

The free TDC was a key component of the caravan, aimed at educating aspiring drivers on road safety and traffic regulations. Participants were required to complete the full two-day TDC seminar to be eligible to obtain a student permit.

"We believe that education is key to preventing accidents and promoting responsible driving behavior," Mayor Calayag emphasized. "Through the free TDC, we are investing in the safety of our community and fostering a culture of responsible driving."

The caravan will also be conducted in other barangays in the coming months, further expanding access to these essential services. This initiative underscores the local government's commitment to promoting disciplined driving and enhancing road safety within the municipality.
