QUEZON, Quezon – The Local Government of Quezon, Quezon recently concluded a successful Year-End Capability Building cum Gender Mainstreaming in the Workplace workshop. Held on December 17-18, 2024 at the Batis Aramin Resort & Hotel, the program focused on promoting gender equality.
The workshop aimed to equip employees with the knowledge and tools to create a more harmonious and equitable work environment. This initiative aligns with the Provincial Government of Quezon's ongoing commitment to gender and development (GAD), as evidenced by their established Provincial Gender and Development (PGAD) Office.
Dr. Mia Miano led the workshop, providing valuable insights and knowledge on gender mainstreaming strategies and best practices. The program likely included sessions on understanding gender roles and stereotypes, promoting equal opportunities, and preventing gender-based discrimination in the workplace, echoing the core principles of the PGAD Office and its initiatives.
A team-building activity was conducted on the second day to strengthen camaraderie and cooperation among the different offices. This activity fostered a sense of unity and inspired stronger working relationships among the LGU personnel.
