PAGBILAO, Quezon - Young people in Pagbilao promoted the idea of a cultural showcase to the local government, which culminated in the Year-End Cultural Show 2024 at the Municipal Covered Court. The crowd was thoroughly mesmerized by the young performers' outstanding displays of talent, showcasing exceptional skill and artistic expression.
Mayor Angelica "Gigi" Portes-Tatlonghari stated, "Developing our youth's artistic talents is crucial for our community's future. Our young talents are the backbone of our community's future." She emphasized, "Investing in arts and culture initiatives pays dividends in community pride and unity." The event aligns with the mayor's vision for arts-driven youth development.
The show featured traditional dances such as Tinikling, Pandango, Rigodon, contemporary music, modern dance interpretations, Christmas carol performances, theatrical sketches and visual arts exhibitions among others drew a large crowd of residents.
The show also highlighted Pagbilaoin's thriving cultural scene, promoting unity and pride. Mayor Portes noted that such events significantly contribute to cultural preservation and community development, showcasing the town's rich heritage.
Pagbilaoins prioritizes cultural heritage preservation, community engagement, youth empowerment and artistic innovation, aligning with the Philippines' national cultural development agenda.
