LUCENA CITY, Quezon - For the first time in Quezon Province, residents can receive immediate care for urgent medical needs, without the wait of a traditional emergency room. Lucena United Doctors Hospital and Medical Center (LUDHMC), now part of Metro Pacific Health, celebrated the grand opening of its expanded Emergency Room, a new Urgent Care Center, and a MyPharmacy Outpatient Pharmacy on February 21, 2025.
Maria Louzel Diaz-Tiozon, President and CEO of LUDHMC, in her address, emphasized the hospital's unwavering commitment to serving the community and highlighted the vital role of the new Urgent Care Center in providing accessible and timely medical attention. She stated, "We recognize the growing need for immediate healthcare services in our community. For this reason, our hospital embarked on a journey of innovation by establishing the first Urgent Care Center in Quezon Province."
Recognizing that prevention is a cornerstone of good health, Diaz-Tiozon also stressed the importance of routine check-ups and preventive care. Among those present were members of the LUDI Board of Directors, led by Augusto Palisoc Jr., and representatives from Metro Pacific Health, including Dr. Harish Pillai, Group Chief Executive, and Jessica Abaya, Chief Commercial Marketing Officer.
