LUCENA CITY, Quezon Province – Modernized offices have been unveiled on February 3, 2025 by the Quezon Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) with the official inauguration of its newly renovated building within the Governor's Mansion Compound. The facility promises a more efficient workspace for council members.
Governor Angelina "Helen" Tan and Vice Governor Anacleto "Third" Alcala III led the inauguration ceremony, which included a formal blessing by Rev. Fr. Monmon Amado, and was joined by SP members, heads of offices, and Provincial Government employees, including Provincial Administrator Manny Butardo.
"This is more than simply relocating our offices; it's a significant step forward in our ability to serve the public," Governor Tan stated. "The improved facilities will allow us to work more effectively and efficiently, and we even envision the building becoming a resource for educational tours, showcasing the work of the council."
She emphasized that the renovated building will enable the council to better serve the people of Quezon. The facility houses the offices of the Vice Governor, Board Members, and the Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Governor Tan affirmed that the council's primary focus must always be serving the residents of Quezon and operating within their established mandate. She then expressed her thanks to everyone who made the renovation and relocation possible, noting that their work has laid the foundation for improved service delivery in the future.
Vice Governor Alcala, the current SP presiding officer, acknowledged ongoing aspects of the renovation but emphasized the council's need to occupy the new space to better serve the community, highlighting the improved facilities and their impact on SP members' duties.
He then thanked Governor Tan for her support in providing the council with a modern office and session hall. He emphasized the importance of a conducive work environment and highlighted the planned digitalization of the building to further enhance service delivery.
