LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region IV-A (DSWD-4A) is actively promoting the i-Registro system and the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) grant to beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). This initiative aims to enhance the health and nutrition of pregnant women and young children.

Regional Information Officer Joseph J. Arceo recently highlighted these programs during the "Kapihan sa PIA Quezon" program on February 26, 2025. This forum, hosted by PIA Manager Ruel Orinday, serves as a platform for engaging media partners and is a flagship initiative of the Philippine Information Agency.

Arceo explained that i-Registro is an online platform designed to streamline the updating and management of 4Ps beneficiary records. This system, according to him, allows beneficiaries, particularly pregnant and lactating mothers, to efficiently update their status, ensuring they receive the correct conditional cash grants.

"The i-Registro system is essential for accurate and timely distribution of assistance," stated G. Joseph J. Arceo. "It simplifies the process for beneficiaries to keep their information up-to-date, which is vital for the effective implementation of the F1KD grant."

The F1KD grant is an additional health and nutrition support program for 4Ps households with pregnant women and children aged 0-2 years. This initiative seeks to strengthen the government's campaign against stunting and malnutrition.

The F1KD grant targets active 4Ps household-beneficiaries with pregnant members or children aged 0-2 years. It provides additional financial assistance to support proper nutrition, health services, and early childhood development. Eligible beneficiaries receive a monthly cash grant of 350 pesos.

"The First 1,000 Days of a child's life are critical for their development," Arceo emphasized. "The F1KD grant is designed to provide the necessary support to ensure healthy growth and development during this crucial period."

DSWD-4A is actively working to disseminate information about the i-Registro and F1KD grant. In addition to community outreach programs, the agency is fostering partnerships with local government units and engaging 4Ps parent leaders to help communicate information about the programs to their fellow beneficiaries.

They encourages all eligible 4Ps beneficiaries to utilize the i-Registro system to update their information and access the F1KD grant, ultimately improving the health and well-being of their families. This online platform is crucial for pregnant and lactating mothers, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of assistance.

F1KD grant provides crucial financial assistance to combat malnutrition and stunting. This program targets active 4Ps households with pregnant women and children aged 0-2 years, offering a monthly cash grant of 350 pesos. This support aims to ensure healthy growth and development during the critical early stages of a child's life, emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition and health services.
