Lucena City forges ahead  with multi-agency coordination in meeting
Mayor Mark Don Victor B. Alcala led the CPOC-CTF ELCAC-CADAC-CDRRMC joint meeting, driving the discussions and approvals of crucial resolutions aimed at enhancing Lucena City’s peace, order, and disaster preparedness.






LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The City Peace and Order Council-City Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict-City Anti-Drug Abuse Council-City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CPOC-CTF ELCAC-CADAC-CDRRMC) convened its inaugural joint meeting of the year on March 19th within the SP Session Hall. This assembly underscored the city's commitment to integrated governance and proactive strategic planning for the year ahead.

Mayor Mark  Don Victor Alcala presided over the session, steering discussions alongside key officials including SP Chairperson on Peace and Order Councilor Americo Lacerna, City Administrator Anacleto "Jun" Alcala Jr., DILG Lucena OIC-HUC Director Enrico Damot, LDRRMO and CADAC Head Janet Gendrano, and PNP Lucena Chief PLtCol Dennis De Guzman.



The council meeting drew robust participation from various department heads, representatives of local government agencies, uniformed personnel, and stakeholders from the private sector. This broad engagement reflects the city's established framework for collaborative governance, ensuring diverse perspectives contribute to effective policy formulation.

The meeting's agenda encompassed a comprehensive review of the council's prior accomplishments, focusing on the progress achieved by the CPOC-CTF ELCAC, CADAC, and CDRRMC. Subsequently, pivotal resolutions were deliberated and approved, including requests for enhanced firefighting capabilities, increased barangay funding for anti-illegal drug initiatives, and mandatory disaster preparedness training for public and private establishments.

Furthermore, the council engaged in strategic discussions concerning the city’s preparations for the upcoming Semana Santa and the 2025 National and Local Elections. Attention was also directed towards the ongoing implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, the establishment of Drug-Free Workplaces, and the strengthening of insurance programs for local farmers and fisherfolk.

The meeting reinforced the city's unwavering dedication to maintaining peace, order, public safety, and robust disaster preparedness, alongside its resolute efforts to combat illegal drug activities. These coordinated initiatives align with Lucena City’s annual strategic planning, which prioritizes resource allocation to these critical domains.
