LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Demonstrating its commitment to digital literacy across sectors, the Department of Information Communications and Technology (DICT) Quezon Province Office conducted a comprehensive Digital Marketing and Content Creation Seminar last Tuesday, April 8, at their conference room in this city.
The program aimed to equip participants, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the initial STEP Up Entrepreneurship Program cohort and Agriculture students from LSPU (Laguna State Polytechnic University) Siniloan Campus, with essential training on Social Media Marketing Tools and Graphics Design using Canva. This initiative provided foundational skills crucial for thriving in the online marketplace.
Project Development Officer III Lawrence Joseph Velasco underscored the program's objective to elevate the business acumen of local entrepreneurs and facilitate their growth through effective digital strategies. He also highlighted the Provincial Government's commitment to supporting MSMEs in their digital transformation journey.
DICT Provincial Officer Edd Fernan Gonzales led the session on Social Media Content Creation, emphasizing the methods and significance of establishing online platforms for business marketing. Participants also received practical guidance on setting up online stores on popular e-commerce platforms like Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.
The seminar fostered a collaborative environment where attendees engaged in an open exchange of ideas, addressing potential challenges and exploring solutions relevant to various digital platforms. Several MSME owners shared their experiences with different online marketing strategies, leading to insightful discussions on best practices and potential pitfalls. The presence of agriculture students further highlighted the increasing relevance of digital skills across diverse fields.
